CLOSED: Experimental Particle Astrophysics - Assistant Professor

The Department of Physics is looking for qualified candidates for a Tenure-track appointment in Experimental Particle Astrophysics beginning July 1, 2017.  We are seeking a candidate at the rank of Assistant Professor, but exceptional senior candidates will be considered.

M.K. Sundaresan

We are very sad to report the death of M.K. Sundaresan, Sundar to his many friends, in Phoenix, AZ on Jan 30 2017. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Carleton University in 1961. His subsequent career was intimately bound up with the Department of Physics. He rose rapidly through the ranks, becoming a Full Professor in 1965 and Chair of the department in 1978, in which position he served for a total of seven years.

Physics Nobel Prize Laureate Talks at University of Ottawa

Next week, the uOttawa Department of Physics is excited to be hosting two talks by Dr. William D. Phillips, winner of the 1997 Nobel Prize in Physics. He will be giving the department colloquium on Friday April 7 at 2:30 in FTX 147, the advertisement for which is attached. He will also be giving our second annual Eureka Talk on Saturday April 8 at 10:30am in FSS 2005.
