Physics Lab Experiments
The Carleton University Physics department invites high school classes to visit our undergraduate physics labs and perform actual physics experiments designed specially for 11th and 12th grade students. Tours of our faculty's research labs can also be arranged upon request.
Visits can be scheduled in December, and the second half of April. Please contact lab_visit

Many of our department members have given public talks on various topics (some examples listed below). If you found any of these topics may be an interesting addition to your curriculum, we will be more than happy to tailor the talks accordingly and present them in-person at your school. Teachers are invited to arrange for interactive video lectures from Carleton Physics faculty via the Virtual Researcher On Call (VROC) videoconferencing initiative. The following lectures have been given in the past:

Are you looking for a fun way to engage your students in science? Have a Let's Talk Science volunteer do a hands-on activity with your class!
Let's Talk Science is a national program dedicated to encouraging scientific knowledge and curiosity in children and teens. Our graduate student volunteers perform science activities and demonstrations in classrooms, participate in community events, and travel to remote areas for outreach.
