Admission Requirements for Undergraduate Studies

For admission to a Physics Program, you must have the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, including a minimum of six 4 U/M courses.

Honours in Physics, Applied Physics, and Double Honours in Mathematics and Physics

For Honours in Physics or in Applied Physics, and Double Honours in Mathematics and Physics, your six 4 U/M courses must include:

  • Advanced Functions
  • Calculus and Vectors
  • At least one of Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, or Physics. Physics is strongly recommended.

Combined Honours in Biology and Physics or Chemistry and Physics

For the Combined Honours in Biology and Physics or Chemistry and Physics, your six 4 U/M courses must include:

  • Advanced Functions
  • Two of Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, or Physics. Physics is strongly recommended.

Bachelor of Science (Major) program in Physics

For the Bachelor of Science (Major) program in Physics, your six 4 U/M courses must include:

  • Advanced Functions;
  • Two of Calculus and Vectors, Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, or Physics. Physics is strongly recommended.
