Join us on a special Youtube "Live" event related to the lowering of the first of two ATLAS New Small Wheels (NSW) into the ATLAS experimental cavern at the CERN laboratory. The NSW is a project that Carleton has been working on for many years and some of the components that go into the wheel were made in the Physics Department's research labs!
The construction of the first wheel is now completed and ready to be lowered 100 m underground into the ATLAS experimental cavern. This lowering will be done on Monday and so on Thursday there will be an event on Youtube showing videos and photos of the lowering and there will be an expert available to answer questions.
