An Overview of Clinical Proton Therapy: a Clinical Physicist's Perspective

Having gained hands-on experience with clinical proton therapy in the US and the UK, I will provide an overview of clinical proton therapy, covering the rationale, principles, prior and current delivery systems, planning considerations, and quality assurance.

Bio

Allison Toltz is a clinical medical physicist at McGill University Health Centre. Prior to this, she was part of the team to commission the proton therapy centre in London, UK, for University College London Hospitals, NHS. A graduate of McGill University, she completed her residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. She has collaborated on several novel projects for innovations in modern proton therapy and quality assurance.
