Abstract:
The talk will explore the science, politics and economics of Climate Change. It will include a discussion of the actions an individual can take to combat climate change and the potential impact of these actions.
Bio of Speaker:
Gerald Oakham is a Professor Emeritus in Carleton’s Physics Department. His research field is in particle physics, and he has worked on many experiments at the European Particle Physics Laboratory CERN in Geneva. In the past two years, along with Economist Peter Black he has given a number of community and public talks on Climate Change. These talks were timed to coincide with the past two Canadian Federal Elections.
