On November 18, students from PHYS 5204 "Physics of Medical Imaging” received a tour of the medical imaging facilities at The Ottawa Hospital’s Civic Campus. Alex Wolf, who is the x-ray quality control manager at TOH, and several technologists and imaging experts led students on a tour of the radiography suites, x-ray CT, interventional radiology, and MRI.
And on November 28, students from PHYS 5203 “Medical Radiation Physics” received a tour of the nuclear medicine facilities at TOH and the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Dr. Ran Klein led the tour and covered everything from the Radiochemistry Lab at the Heart Institute to patient imaging suites.
