Congratulations to Dr. Harry Allen, who won the Senate Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement for his PhD thesis, "Development and Application of a Multimodal Coherent Raman Scattering Microscope,” at last week's convocation. Dr. Allen was the Physics Department’s first graduate of the Biomedical Engineering PhD program. Congratulations also to his supervisor, Dr. Sangeeta Murugkar, from the Physics Department. Harry is headed to Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee as a Research Associate.
