About Sukhveer Singh

I earned my BSc (Honours) in Physics and completed my Master’s in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics at Simon Fraser University. I am now pursuing a PhD in Medical Physics at Carleton University, conducting research at the National Research Council of Canada under the supervision of Prof. Bryan Muir and Prof. James Renaud.

My doctoral work focuses on ultra-high dose rate (FLASH) radiotherapy, where I am developing water calorimetry standards for accurate dosimetry and investigating radiochemical mechanisms such as oxygen depletion and radical recombination. This research aims to improve the accuracy of dose measurement and deepen the biological understanding of FLASH effect, ultimately supporting its safe clinical translation to benefit cancer patients.
