About Us

GASP was started in the spring of 1999 by graduate students in the Department of Physics to organize events and act as a resource for its members. At present, the association has 38 members and is recognized by the Carleton Graduate Students' Association (GSA). Social events organized by our members are primarily supported by our fundraising efforts, except for joint events with the Department.

Traditionally, GASP events are run by two co-presidents, one from particle physics and one from medical physics. The contact information for the current co-presidents can be found on the contact page.
