About Matt Inglis-Whalen

After completing his BSc at Carleton in 2023, Matt travelled to Edinburgh, Scotland, where he earned his MSc in physics in 2014. He then moved to Toronto to study Effective Field Theories of Quantum ChromoDynamics, eventually defending his PhD thesis in 2022.

After spending 3 years in Germany with his wife and cat, Matt is now back at Carleton as a postdoctoral fellow. He is currently interested in studying and simulating how low-energy electrons interact with and move through biological matter. He enjoys programming, both at work and in his free time, and is currently the organizer for the CLRP Summer Series social events.
