Careers in Medical Physics

A graduate degree in medical physics will prepare the student in three different specialties of medical physics:

  • Medical imaging
  • Cancer therapy
  • Radiation biophysics and health physics

Most of our graduates go on to complete a medical physics residency and, afterwards, a clinical medical physics position. Our other graduates have found employment in industry and academic and government research labs (e.g., NRC, Health Canada).

Carleton University's Ph.D. program in Medical Physics has been accredited by CAMPEP since Jan 1, 2010.
