New stream starting Fall 2017:   B.Sc. Honours in Physics (Astrophysics).

While sharing the same core physics courses with the Theory and Experimental streams, Astrophysics stream also includes specialized courses in astronomy and astrophysics.

The Physics Department invites undergraduate students to apply for summer research positions within the NSERC USRA program.  Students who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents, are currently in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th years of an honours physics program, and who have a cumulative average of at least A- are eligible.

On October 13, 2016, a team of five Carleton undergraduate physics students represented Carleton University at the Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference 2016 (CUPC-2016) at Dalhousie University (Halifax, NS). Three students, Austin de Ste. Croix, Matt Hemsley and Andrew Zwaniga, presented the research work they did in the past summer here at Carleton.
