Congratulations to Rowan Thomson, an OMPI member, who has been invited to give four medical physics lectures as part of the 2012 Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) Lecture Tour. Each winter, the CAP's program enables the undergraduate physics students from nearly all Canadian programs to invite a faculty member of their choice to visit and deliver a special guest lecture. On the end of Feburary, Prof. Thomson will give lectures titled: "Up close and personal radiation treatments for cancer" at Laurentian University, McMaster University, Ryerson University, and the University of Windsor. Another faculty member of the Carleton Physics Department, Thomas Gregoire , has also been invited to give 5 CAP lectures in particle physics.
