The student computer lab in HP3349 has thirty-three seats each with a SUNRAY network appliance and a 22" LCD monitor. The lab is maintained and administered by Department of Physics and Faculty of Science Computing Staff.
This resource is for the use of undergraduate students in the Faculty of Science and can be booked for a class for the whole term. The room is generally available to students outside of reserved hours.
The Sunray lab is open 24 hrs, 7 days a week. If the room is locked at any time, students are able to call the Patrol Office at 613-520-3612 to have the door opened for them.
The lab features a GNOME desktop (unix) and also provides desktop access to other departmental and research servers in the Faculty of Science.
Students can access the public printer nearby from their desktops in the Sunray lab
No food or beverages are allowed in the Sunray Lab.
